Part 5: Moving On and Setting Standards

Recap from Previous Part:

In the previous part of our journey, on this blog series, I’ve explored the transformative power of faith, self-help books like Joyce Meyer’s “Battlefield of the Mind,” and the inspirational sermons by T.D. Jakes on «The Road to Recovery »

These sources of wisdom became guiding lights on my road to recovery. Now, in Part 5: “Moving On and Setting Standards,” as I continue this incredible narrative with you.

Part 5: Moving On and Setting Standards

The echoes of Joyce Meyer’s words still resonated in my mind—the very words that had sparked a profound shift in my perspective. She had written,

“You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.”

It was a revelation that hit me like a lightning bolt.

I realized that if I wanted to move on from the shadows of my past and set higher standards for myself, I needed to change the way I thought about myself and my worth. Now to my greatest surprise this journey of self-discovery had taken an exciting turn.

The days that followed were filled with introspection and self-reflection. I began to challenge the negative thoughts that had held me captive for so long. Each day felt like a step forward, a step away from the darkness that had clouded my vision and thoughts.

One of the pivotal moments occurred during a peaceful sunset. As the golden shades painted the sky, I made a promise to myself—an oath that I would no longer allow anyone to toy with my emotions or diminish my self-worth. It was a declaration of self-love and self-respect.

Setting higher standards for myself became a great part of my personal goal. I started by reevaluating my priorities and defining the boundaries I would establish in all aspects of my life. It was a process that demanded courage and determination, but it was a price I was willing to pay for my own happiness.

The nights were no longer filled with despair but with a sense of purpose and anticipation. The moon and stars above became my companions in this journey of growth. With each passing day, I felt a renewed sense of strength and resilience.

As I share this part of my story with you, dear reader, I invite you to join me on this transformative path. The road to healing and self-discovery is filled with challenges and triumphs, but it’s a journey that holds the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

In the next installment, I hope to delve deeper into the moments of self-discovery, personal growth, and the standards I had to set for myself. There is much more to uncover, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Stay tuned for the next chapter of my compelling journey.

The End!!!
