Now, in Part 6, as we dive into a new chapter, Brace yourself for unexpected twists and turns as I reveal the surprising return of the man who once toyed with my emotions.
Part 6: “His Return”
As the sun dipped below the horizon, I was sitting by the window in my room, lost in a personal development book.
It had become a habit, a beautiful part of my new routine – these moments of quiet, of solace, of independence.
But that evening, as the world outside began to sink into the shadows, my phone vibrated on the bed lamp table.
I glanced at the screen and saw a name I had long ceased to associate with my life.
I initially thought I had deleted this number from my phone up until I saw this tweet that reads
“Do not block your ex, let them see your growth and success journey… save them as “don’t answer”😂…”
Nil
My heart skipped a beat as I swiped my phone open to reveal the message.
It was him.
My gaze turned pale…
my emotions raced again but this time not as usual.
“Hi,” the message read. It was a simple word, yet it carried a world of emotions.
My fingers hovered over the screen, not sure if I should respond, but my curiosity got the better of me.
We exchanged messages, and as we did, I began to understand the unexpected nature of his return in bits.
The guy who had once toyed with my emotions, who had been absent from my life for so long, now spoke of a revelation.
He admitted that it had taken time, that it had taken a journey of his own to realize the value he had missed out on.
Unfortunately, the intricacies of life had brought him to a crossroads, and he found himself yearning to right the wrongs of the past.
But it was OVER…
The timing was baffling, and I couldn’t help but wonder why it had to happen now, after I had moved on, healed, and discovered my own worth.
As the night deepened, we delved into a profound conversation that spanned the years of our separation. He was apologetic, remorseful for the hurt he had caused, and open about his own journey of growth.
It was as if our words created a bridge between two people who had embarked on individual quests for self-discovery, converging at a moment we could never have foreseen.
Our exchange was heartfelt, swarming with emotions and confessions, and it carried the weight of our shared history.
And as I placed my phone down after that call, I was left to ponder the mystery of life’s timing.
Why now?
Why him?
But what I didn’t know at that moment was that our story was about to take another unexpected twist.
The lyrics in this music video just has a better way of expressing how I felt and need at this moment.
