Recent Travels…🚆

Let’s talk about the cities I’ve visited so far as an international student in the UK.

This is yet another part for my blog series “Dairy of an International Student in the UK”…

Of course, I’ve been to London, I mean, who hasn’t? Oh that’s right I know of people who haven’t but that’s by the way. I landed there at Heathrow airport, the very next day, I went out to explore the city at large…😅🙈

I remember standing outside Buckingham Palace, half expecting the Queen to wave at me from a window

Spoiler: she didn’t. 😂 I instead had a quick snap shot with the palace guards 💂 at the gate on their horses.

Then there’s Wolverhampton, my home base, thanks to my university. Birmingham? Yes, been there too, such a lovely, lively city, I even hosted few friends for a dinner on my birthday 2024…

don’t know what to do next year yet…any ideas????…and Coventry for church gatherings, naturally.

Work has also taken me on mini adventures across Cheshire, including Congleton, Macclesfield, along the countryside and Crewe.

Oh, and let’s not forget Manchester vibrant, energetic, and worth every visit.

Now, let’s get real for a moment.

There was a time when the mere thought of traveling to these cities filled me with anxiety.

I’d overthink every little detail how to get there, what to expect, and whether I’d survive the trip without feeling like I was on a rollercoaster ride.

Travel sickness? Oh, I had that ick, trust me.

But here’s the good news: I’ve grown past that.

Now, each trip feels like an adventure, a chance to explore and connect with new experiences.

If you’re facing something that feels uncomfortable or challenging right now, keep pushing through.

Growth often comes wrapped in discomfort, but the result? Totally worth it.
