If you had a freeway billboard, what would it say?
“A freeway billboard? Really? Do you know how much I have to say? How would it all even fit?”
Honestly, the thought of trying to condense my endless emotions and ideas into a few words for the world to see feels like an impossible task.
But, let’s try anyway.
Every day, I see the frustration in people’s eyes the weariness, the hopelessness, the silent cries for help.
The world is loud and chaotic, and sometimes it feels like everyone is just barely holding on.
If I could have a billboard, it wouldn’t just be some clever marketing slogan or empty words. It would be the ultimate message of hope: “Jesus Loves You.”
That’s it. Three simple words, but the most profound truth I’ve ever known. Why?
Because it’s the one message that has kept me going.
No matter how messy my life has been trust me, it’s been a rollercoaster God’s love has always been constant.
He’s shown me mercy when I least deserved it, lifted me when I was down, and given me hope when I thought I had none left.
I’m not writing this from a place of perfection. Far from it.
Just last night, I was buried in work, staring at my laptop from 9 p.m. until almost 11 a.m. this morning.
I was exhausted, cold (because of course, it’s snowing❄️🌨️), and honestly, I didn’t even feel like writing today. 😮💨🥶
But as I sat down, one thought kept ringing in my head: God’s love is pure, constant, and life-changing.
This year, I’ve been following a 365-day Bible reading plan, and it’s transforming me from the inside out.
Some days I listen to the audio Bible; other days, I dive into the text, highlighting verses that pierce straight to my heart.
“For the word of God is alive and active- Hebrews 4:12 says, Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow.”
And you know what? That’s exactly how it feels like God’s Word is cutting through the chaos in my life, healing me in ways I didn’t even realize I needed.
If I could plaster that billboard on every freeway, in every city, I would.
Because the truth is, no matter what you’ve been through, no matter what you’ve done, Jesus loves you.
He loves you in your mess, in your doubts, in your highs, and in your lows.
He’s the light in a world that sometimes feels unbearably dark.
But let me stop my yapping…😮💨.
But hey, What message would you put on a billboard? What truth do you hold onto so tightly that you’d want the whole world to know it?
Now, here’s what I’ll leave you with… No matter how heavy life feels, remember you’re not alone.
There’s a love so deep, so wide, and so unconditional that it can carry you through anything. Trust in that love, God’s Love…and let it bring light into your darkest moments. 🫶🏾 Peace ✌️
