Solo Trip: Coz Who Needs a Travel Buddy Anyway…?

This morning was surreal. I woke up with a burst of excitement that was almost ridiculous. Why? Because today marks the first trip of my year, the adventure I’ve been hyping up since last month. It’s finally happening.

My ticket is booked, my bag is packed, and my heart is ready (well, sort of). Guess where I’m off to? If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, you already know…Bath!

Yes, the charming city I’ve been dreaming about since I mentioned it in my spontaneous travel bucket list for 2025 post.

But here’s the twist: it’s a solo trip. Yep, just me, myself, and my thoughts on a train ride to what I hope will be a magical experience.

Honestly, the idea of solo traveling can feel a little intimidating like, who’s going to take my cute Instagram photos? but there’s also something liberating about it.

I’ve done solo trips before, but this one feels different. It’s not about necessity; it’s purely for leisure, for me, and that feels… empowering.

Oh, and did I mention tomorrow is my birthday? 14th🥳whoop whoop 🙌

This little getaway feels like a present to myself, a way to celebrate another year of life and growth. I’ll be sharing updates on how the trip goes, so stay tuned.

For now, let me go immerse myself in this new adventure.

Have you ever done something solo that scared you at first but turned out to be amazing? Let me know I’d love to hear about it.

And as always, remember: life is meant to be lived, even if it’s one small step outside your comfort zone at a time. Cheers…🫶🏾

    1. You can discuss with your partner that you need it, don’t let it weigh you down. For me, this solo trip weighed on me and I decided to go for it and be at ease with myself and now I am. 😊
