Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.
So, let’s talk about something I’ve been putting off for way too long visiting the Safari Park. I mean, who knew it would take me forever to plan a simple visit to see some animals up close? But hey, at least I finally made it to Winter Wonderland in Hanley. And let me just say, it was long overdue.
Every time I’d walk past it, staring longingly at those bright lights and happy people screaming their lungs out on the rides, I’d think, “I need to be in there,” but of course, work had other plans. Always work, work, work. No rest for the ambitious, right? We need to make money to be able to enjoy it. 😂
But on the 31st of December last year, I finally put my foot down literally took the day off, and went to experience the magic. And oh boy, did I scream. The merry-go-rounds, the spinning rides, the questionable carnival food and drinks I loved every second of it.
I mean…there was just something so liberating about letting go and screaming my lungs out (sorry to the poor souls next to me). It was pure, unfiltered fun. And for once, in my adulthood life…I wasn’t thinking about deadlines or responsibilities. Just me, my friend, and an overpriced cup of hot chocolate enjoying the ride.
But now, onto the next adventure Dudley Safari Park. My friend recently told me to go for ages, and ages been few weeks before my birthday and now it’s all set and plans have been made for a proper visit and honestly, I’m kind of excited.
I mean, the only animals I get to see up close these days are those fearless pigeons in this place strutting around like they own the place. It would be nice to see something a little… wilder. And let’s be honest, we all secretly want that one epic safari picture to flex on social media, right?
And yes, I’ve penciled it into my spontaneous travel plan for next month, and it’s going to be one for the books. If you’re in the West Midlands and up for some adventure, hit me up. Let’s make it a fun day out because honestly, what’s better than a picnic, some wild animals, and a chance to finally tick something off my bucket list?
