Early in my life, I worked with a team where everyone had to do a little bit of everything.
It sounded great in theory everyone was versatile! But in reality? It was a mess.
The creative people struggled with analytics.
The detail-oriented ones felt drained by brainstorming sessions.
No one was thriving because we were all operating outside our strengths.
Then, a great leader stepped in and did something simple but powerful.
He put us in roles that matched what we did best.
The difference was night and day.
The team became more confident, more productive, and honestly, way happier.
John Maxwell said, “People add the most value when they work in their strength zones.”
That hits hard coz it is absolutely true.
See when we force ourselves (or others) into roles that don’t fit, we limit potential. But when we lean into our strengths? That’s when real impact happens.
So here’s my challenge to you, friend: What are you great at? What lights you up?
Lean into that because that’s where you’ll add the most value.
