I’ll be honest rejection used to crush me.
One “no” and I’d start questioning everything about myself.
Was I not good enough? Was I wrong to even try?
But then I came across what John Maxwell said in today’s study that;
“Rejection is an event, not a person.”
Rejection isn’t a mirror reflecting our worth it’s a redirection.
Sometimes it’s about timing. Sometimes it’s about fit.
Sometimes it’s simply about someone else’s perspective, not your value.
Here’s what I learned (the hard but freeing way):
Rejection says nothing about your worth. Every “no” is pushing you toward the right “yes.” You’re not for everyone and that’s okay.
Looking back, every rejection that once stung led me somewhere better. So if you’re facing rejection right now, don’t let it define you. Let it refine you.
Your value isn’t up for debate.
Take care, until next time ☺️…, wait that reminds me, I’m sure but now, if you’ve been following my updates, you’ll know that I’ve been thinking of starting a podcast🤔 to share my experiences of being an international student in the UK and some helpful tips and motivation. I’ll also love to know how best I can make my podcast more engaging and interesting with your suggestions.
