For years, I thought the best ideas came from “the experts” or the usual places books, conferences, the same trusted sources.

But some of the best ideas I’ve ever had came from unexpected moments like a conversation with someone, sometimes even a stranger, a part in a movie, a random observation in a coffee shop, restaurant or park.
In today’s daily reading, my take on what John Maxwell says in his book is that,
“The best thinkers are always on the lookout for ideas in the most unlikely places.”
Creativity doesn’t just live in boardrooms or brainstorm sessions.
It lives everywhere in everyday life if only we’re willing to pay more attention.
How to find ideas in unusual places:
Stay curious even about the ordinary. Ask “What can I learn from this?” in every situation. Connect ideas across different areas of life.
Innovation isn’t about forcing ideas it’s about finding them, hidden in plain sight.
So if you’re stuck, bored, or searching for your next spark, don’t just look harder look wider. Inspiration might be closer than you think.
