The One Who Stayed

Maya had prayed for years for “God’s will” in love. She thought it would come wrapped in fireworks but instead, it came quietly.

Daniel wasn’t flashy. He didn’t have the smoothest words or the most expensive gifts. But when life hit hard, when she failed her professional exams, when her mother fell ill, when her faith felt like a flicker instead of a flame — Daniel stayed.

He prayed over her when she couldn’t pray for herself. He reminded her that, “Two are better than one… If either of them falls, one can help the other up” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

Years later, she realised love wasn’t just about the butterflies. It was about the battles fought side by side, the prayers whispered at midnight, and the choice to stay even when it was easier to leave.

True love is steady, sacrificial, and rooted in God. Feelings may fade, storms may rage, but covenant love the kind God models for us endures.🥰

So hey, I had this idea to drop some short deep love stories with life lessons and biblical truths here on my blog… which is more like what I’ve always done on this blog except the “love” part…😂 If you’re interested, come back tomorrow for another one.
