The One God Restored

Three years had passed since Esther and Joe last spoke.

They had loved deeply once, but pride, misunderstandings, and words spoken in anger built a wall between them. Both had moved on at least that’s what they told themselves.

Esther poured herself into church ministry, hiding the ache in her heart. Joe travelled for work, telling everyone he was “too busy” for relationships. But every so often, a memory their shared laughter, late-night prayers, or the way they planned their future would pierce through.

Then, one Sunday, Esther walked into church and there he was, standing at the back, Bible in hand. Their eyes met, and in that moment, every wall of pride crumbled.

They went right on to hug each other just then immediately the service, Joe spoke first:

“I’ve been praying… and I believe God is giving us another chance. But only if we build this His way.”

They spent weeks talking, apologising, and truly forgiving.

It wasn’t easy. Trust had to be rebuilt, wounds had to heal.

But as they prayed together again, they realised that God’s grace not only restores hearts, also it restores what was broken.

They clung to scriptures like Joel 2:25:

“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.”

So here as for what I want you take away from this story;

When God restores, He doesn’t just give back what was lost He makes it stronger, purer, and better than before.

By the way…would you like me to post more of these stories?

And like I said in my last post, all character names are fictional but the story stems from real-life experiences.

Do enjoy the rest of the week…I wish you well in all your endeavours. Cheers ❤️
