Excitement of New Beginnings

Tell us about your first day at something — school, work, as a parent, etc.

Let’s talk about my first day in the UK. The evening I landed at the airport was a mix of excitement and sheer exhaustion honestly, exhilarating might be an understatement.

After surviving a 15-hour flight, I was thrilled to finally breathe in the air of a whole new continent.

The fact that I was miles away from home, completely solo, just me and God, hit me hard but in a good way.

Of course, the turbulence had me gripping my seat now and then, but I had to keep that brave smile on my face.

Stepping onto UK soil felt surreal. It was summer, but I was welcomed by weather that my skin refused to acknowledge as “warm.”

Let’s just say the sun here was only good for aesthetic photos.

Then came my first train ride yes, a whole train experience.

I tried my best not to look like a JJC (Johnny Just Come, for the uninitiated).

Pictures? Oh, I took a ton.

I even stopped by Buckingham Palace for the ultimate tourist moment.

It was magical, an experience I’ll never forget.

But soon enough, the fun days turned into the real deal I made my way to the University of Wolverhampton to begin my Master’s degree journey.
