A Spontaneous Travel Bucket List…

What cities do you want to visit?

Oh, I’d absolutely love to hop on a plane to Schengen countries like Greece (Santorini…I mean, can you imagine those beautiful sunsets?⛅),

France (Paris for a Valentine’s Day romantic get away trip…🥰, because why not be cliché in the City of Love?)🙈

As the French will say… “Paris n’est pas seulement une ville, c’est un sentiment un baiser tendre sous la Tour Eiffel, une promenade paisible le long de la Seine, et un murmure d’amour dans chaque rue pavée. Ici, même l’air a un goût de romance.”

Spain (Barcelona’s architecture seems to be calling my name), Italy (Rome because I’ve heard pasta 🍝tastes better there), and Montenegro (I guess because it just sounds fancy or better yet the weather there to me seems just right for summer especially for the beaches 🏖️).

These are all high up on my bucket list, and I’ll admit, they’ve been Pinterest-board material for a while now.😅🙈🥹

But before I go full jet-setter, I’ve decided to start with something perhaps closer to my home. England has so much charm, and I’ve been sleeping on it. I want to experience its historic beauty and quaint corners before venturing further afield.

Would you like to see my 2025 bucket list? Here’s a sneak peek…

First, I plan to visit Bath in January, for its Roman baths and Georgian vibes. By February, I’ll be hoping to be walking York’s medieval city walls, imagining life centuries ago.

March will definitely bring me to Oxford, with its world-renowned colleges and dreamy riverside. In April, Liverpool will have me diving into Beatlemania and soaking up its waterfront beauty.

Brighton in May is for beach strolls, while Cambridge in June is perfect for punting on the River Cam. I can’t wait to celebrate Shakespeare’s legacy in Stratford-upon-Avon in July, then escape to the tranquil landscapes of the Lake District in August.

September will take me to Canterbury, exploring its iconic cathedral, and October will be spent in Manchester, with its cultural charm, I hope my football team (Manchester United) would be playing then to visit the stadium.

The year wraps up beautifully with the Cotswolds in November (honey-colored cottages, anyone?) and London in December, decked out in Christmas lights and festive cheer.

Hopefully, I can find a travel buddy to tag along, if you’re up for an adventure, let me know in time…😅 so we can plan together, well of course apart from February…😉

Honestly, if I can successfully execute even two-third of this plan, then I would be extremely proud of myself, and thankful that I did not yield to my introvert tendencies and dwell in my comfort zone. PS: I’ll be sure to document my travels and share them with you as well…😉

Remember, life is a journey. Plan it well, embrace the detours, don’t let your dreams just sit on a bucket list, go after them, you’ll be thankful you did in the end.

  2. Yeah, pasta wasn’t invented in Italy, it’s actually Chinese, but to me, bc I was raised Italiano, pasta is pasta non? Also, Paris? That’s like my Las Vegas, very touristy… but classic.
