Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?
Honestly, I would say YES and NO.
Yes, because I had already pictured myself living in the UK even before stepping foot here.
During the stressful application process, I held onto the vision tightly, pushing myself beyond limits I didn’t know existed.
I didn’t have a map of what the UK looked like, but I trusted God to make a way where there seemed to be no way and He did.
I made silent prayers, poured my heart out, and here I am today, living what was once just a thought.
Now, let’s talk about no.
As an ambitious person, I’ve always had a personal “age calendar” of goals what I hoped to achieve at each stage of my life.
Some I’ve accomplished, some are still works in progress.
There are days I feel like I’m one step ahead, and yet somehow, still one step behind.
I see some of my mates back home finishing their PhDs, and while I’m not complaining, it does cross my mind.
But you know what?
When God allows a “step back,” He always knows what He’s setting up for my future.
The truth is, my life today isn’t perfect, but I can proudly say I’m growing into the person God designed me to be.
Like I mentioned in my last post about harnessing skills for growth I’m building myself daily into a valuable asset.
Honestly, I’ve invested a lot in my growth, not saying this out of pride, but out of gratitude to God for the grace to see challenges as opportunities.
I’ll end by saying this, your journey may not look like anyone else’s, and that’s okay. Trust God’s timing, keep building yourself, and remember you are exactly where you need to be for what comes next.

I believe it’s actually in the series… “surviving the chaos”… I used a fictional name, as the character but it is actually my story…

I also have had big changes in the past year and so I couldn’t agree more about trusting God with your path in life. I absolutely did not/could not imagine I’d be where I am right now this time last year. A lot of prayer and trusting God got me here though! Also, I have never left the United States so the fact that you moved to the UK is just so cool!

Definitely. ☺️ For me the coolest part was moving alone…taking that leap of faith despite the little fears😅🙈
