Even though this seems like the easiest question in the world, it really isn’t at least not for me.

But okay, after some thought, I can confidently say my top 5 grocery store items are eggs, bread, milk, mayonnaise, and bananas (or any fruit really, but bananas top the list).

You’ll be surprised at what comes next as you read…

Lately, I’ve been borderline obsessed with making banana bread on demand, for fun, or just because.

I’ve been experimenting with flavors, mixing and matching to create something exciting and unique.

Call it the adventurous baker in me. I mean, who doesn’t love the thrill of turning ordinary ingredients into extraordinary delights?

But let me take you down memory lane. My first attempt at baking a cake was an absolute disaster.

Alright…picture this: a cake so dense, it could rival a rock… not just any rock, but one so immovable, it might’ve probably be the one Satan used his tempting tricks to persuade Jesus in the wilderness instead of, well, actual bread. 😂😂

Honestly, if Jesus was a foodie, I think bread would’ve been his thing. Looking at it…Bread and fish, bread and wine, bread and meat there’s no debate here. He even multiplied loaves, after all. Luxurious simplicity at its finest.

It took me a while to realise this but see, it’s the little things that actually bring joy.

That’s why I keep going back to these simple staple things that are versatile, reliable, and somehow always a source of comfort.

Oops, did I stray a bit? My bad.

I didn’t want to bore you with the same “here’s my grocery list” story, but rather give you a peek into how these ordinary things can simply add a spark of joyful thought and creativity to life.
