How I am Spending This Christmas Holiday… Update🎄❤️

Well, as I mentioned in my blog post yesterday, I’m working on Christmas Day…yep, that’s today.

Merry Christmas 🎄😂🤗

I woke up this morning rushing to prepare for my shift, and the fog outside was so thick I thought it might just ruin the day.

But, as always, God came through and turned it around with beautiful sunshine and bright blue skies.

Satan lost this round.

My shift was booked three weeks ago, so there was no escape. While most people are relaxing with family, unwrapping gifts, and enjoying roast dinners, I’m at work, navigating another busy day.

But you know what? It’s okay…I’ve made peace with it.

When I get back home tonight, it’s all about self-care and gratitude.

I’m lighting up my favorite gingerbread-scented candles, making a big mug of hot chocolate (midnight ice cream is tempting, but I’ll skip it this time), and curling up with a cozy Christmas movie on Netflix.

It’s not the Christmas I dreamed of, but it’s a moment to reflect, rest, and give thanks for every blessing this year has brought me.

People often ask me, “How do you manage Christmas away from home?”

Honestly, it hasn’t been amazing.

Christmas is always more beautiful with family around, and being away as an international student makes it harder.

But I’ve learned to adapt, to find joy in the little things, and to be grateful for the life God is building for me here.

If you’re wondering how to make the most of the holidays as an international student, I’ll be sharing tips and my full holiday story in my next post on Diary of an International Student in the UK.

Stay tuned for the details.

As the year winds down, I’m counting my blessings and looking forward to my birth month yes, the countdown has officially begun.

I’ll keep writing and sharing updates as they come. In the meantime, have you had a roast dinner yet?

I didn’t get the chance to make one, but if you have, enjoy every bite for me.

What about you? How are you spending this holiday season, and what are you most grateful for?

Christmas is a season of joy, even in the simplest moments. Whether surrounded by loved ones or finding comfort in solitude, take a moment to reflect on your blessings and the hope for the year ahead.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays.🎄✨

  1. Merry Christmas to you! I love the idea of self-care at the end of your shift! Given you’re in the U.K., I’m sure that is already taking place :) It is only almost noon here on the east coast of the U.S., so no roast yet, though it is cooking! Enjoy the rest of your day!
