A Letter To My 100-Year-Old Self

Write a letter to your 100-year-old self.

Oh, wise one, wrinkled in wisdom,

A heart still beating with echoes of laughter,

Hands once tender with youthful ambition,

Now holding the weight of a century after.

Did the dreams we whispered in quiet nights

Find their way into the fabric of time?

Did you dance in the rain of your victories,

Or only count the hills you had to climb?

Did love find you in its truest form,

Soft and steady, fierce and bright?

Did you hold on to faith like an anchor,

Even when darkness swallowed the light?

Remember the girl who walked foreign streets,

A suitcase of hope, a heart full of fire.

She stumbled, she soared, she built and rebuilt,

Fueled by nothing but hunger and desire.

Did you find the meaning in simple things

The warmth of a meal, the scent of home?

The joy of a stranger turned into a friend,

The peace in knowing you’re never alone?

If your steps are slower, your breaths more deep,

Let gratitude be the rhythm you hum.

For every tear, every triumph, every scar,

Led you to the woman you’ve become.

So sit with me now, my elder soul,

Tell me the stories, the truths, the grace.

And if we have lived as we always dreamed,

Then I shall meet you with a smiling face.

With love,

Your Younger Self🥺
