A few months ago, I hit a strange season in my life.
Even though I was still showing up every day, still doing the work, still smiling on the outside but on the inside, I felt numb.
Have you ever experienced such? The excitement I once had about something I loved doing was fading fast, and I didn’t know why.
I thought passion was something that just happened. You either had it… or you didn’t. But this thought-provoking reminder stopped me in my tracks:
“You don’t have to possess passion to start, but you must increase it to finish.”
Passion isn’t a personality trait, it’s a decision.
Something you feed or let starve. I started taking small steps to stir it up again. I revisited the why behind what I do.
I started reading again, books that inspired me, I became intentional about spending time with people who radiated good positive energy, and reconnected with the things that made me come alive.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
1. Passion fades when you stop pursuing purpose.
2. It grows when you show up, even when you don’t feel like it.
3. Surrounding yourself with passion-filled people can reignite your own flame in no time.
So if you’re feeling stuck, flat, or just “going through the motions,” you’re not broken.
You’re just due for a recharge. Passion doesn’t come from waiting it comes from action.
To conclude, don’t forget to do one thing that lights you up and watch your fire grow.
