Because I am eating clean but still kinda cute..
Okay, let’s be honest, if you told me last month that I’d be waking up excited to prep tuna, of all things, I would have blocked you.
Me? A girl with jollof rice and egusi in her veins?
Eating TUNA SWEETCORN WRAPS like I’m in a Tesco ad? Be for real.
But here we are.
I’ve been on a healthy diet journey for some over a week now (yes, clap for me, because this has not been easy).
Between cravings, late-night food dreams, and that one voice in my head telling me to “just order chicken and chips”
I’ve somehow managed to say no to oily temptations and yes to things that nourish my body (and still taste like joy).
So let me introduce you to my Healthy Dinner Idea #3:
The Glorious, Humble, High-Protein Tuna Sweetcorn Tortilla Wrap.
How did it start?
Honestly…
I was standing in my kitchen like, “Lord, what can I eat that won’t mess up my intermittent fasting and still make me feel like a soft life queen?”
And just like that, divine inspiration hit, my tortilla wraps, tuna, and sweetcorn were sitting there like,
“Pick us, girl. Let’s create magic.”
Tuna Sweetcorn Tortilla Wrap
So here’s how I made it (because I know you came for the details):
Ingredients:
1 high-protein tortilla wrap (because we’re gym babes in theory) 1 can of tuna in brine water (drained and drama-free) A generous handful of sweetcorn (straight from the tin, no shame) A little low-fat mayo (just to hold things together like me during deadlines) Black pepper, chili flakes, garlic powder (because bland is not my brand).
Simple Method:
Mix the tuna, sweetcorn, mayo, and spices in a bowl. Lay out your tortilla wrap and add the tuna mix and fold like your life depends on it, because once it falls apart mid-bite, you’ll understand why folding is spiritual.
Toast it lightly on a dry pan for 2–3 mins if you’re feeling fancy, or eat it cold if you’re tired and emotionally exhausted (like me most evenings).
And there you have it a protein-packed, fibre-loving, low-fat dinner that doesn’t make you cry into your fridge at 9 PM.

It’s fast, it’s filling, and it actually tastes amazing. Like, not even “healthy food amazing” actual amazing.
Now, for the emotional bits (because it’s me):
I’m doing this whole clean eating thing not because I want to fit into jeans from 2017 (although… that wouldn’t hurt), to be fair but because I finally realised I deserve to treat my body like it’s worth something.
God didn’t create me to be drained, bloated, and addicted to takeaways.
He gave me wisdom (and capacity), and I’m going to use both.
This journey has been hard. Some nights, I seriously want comfort food.
Some days, I miss pepper soup, fufu even ice cream.
But every time I pick a wholesome meal like this wrap,
I remember I’m choosing health, discipline, and self-love.
And I whisper,
“Thank You, Lord, for this meal and for strength.”
